Visitors to Navarre Beach found a near picture perfect day Tuesday. Green flags were flying, the surf was calm and there was plenty of sunshine to be had.

Hundreds of colorful tents and umbrellas lined the white sand shoreline as beach goers bobbed and played in the emerald green Gulf of Mexico. Nearby, anglers tried their luck from the end of the 1,545-foot Navarre Beach Fishing Pier, which is the longest of its kind in the state.

The forecast for the area calls for mostly sunny skies with highs in the 90s through the weekend.
